Google Play app for Android now getting more material and white search bar

Remember that white search bar for Google Play that was teased in mid-February? Well, it looks like it’s finally rolling out.
Yes, the new white search bar is now appearing in the Google Play app, making the search functionality much more prominent than the old-style Play Store than just had a search icon in its upper right corner. You can compare the old Google Play (left) and the new one (right) in the screenshots below.

This change isn’t a huge one, but it’s pretty notable because it makes Google Play’s search feature much easier to spot. Not only is it a big white bar now, but it also looks like the Google Search bar that appears on the home screen of many Android devices, giving the search feature a bit of consistency.
If you don’t yet have this new search bar in Google Play, you can try to get it by opening the app, swiping it away from your Recent Apps menu, then restarting it.
